Born in the great city of Terre Haute, IN, Jordan caught the “theater bug” from a young age and eventually traveled to Muncie, IN to study theatre at Ball State University. He is a recent graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Theatrical Studies, focusing in Dramaturgy.

Inspired by the words of actress Sutton Foster to “do everything,” I have set out to learn and play as many “roles” in the theater as possible. I was the assistant director for productions of Spring Awakening, Waiting for Godot, and Carrie. I was the stage manager for Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead and Third and Oak: The Laundromat. This past year, I have focused on playwriting, working on an immersive project adapting Brian Andreas’ Storypeople series into a play, and dramaturgy, including Major Barbara and Next to Normal. At the end of my senior year, I produced a staged reading of 8 the Play by Dustin Lance Black, also serving as director, stage manager, and dramaturg.

I have completed internships at Nashville Children’s Theater in Tennessee as an Assistant Teaching Artist and at Goodspeed Opera House in Connecticut in the Education/Literary department, where I was able to assist as a dramaturg for Goodspeed’s new musical Holiday Inn. I was the managing editor and writer with the blog for Camp Broadway in New York City, having interviewed Broadway actors Morgan James (Godspell, Motown the Musical) and Wallace Smith (Godspell, Choir Boy, Rocky the Musical).

After completing a year in Walt Disney World as a Character Attendant in Orlando, Florida, I have moved to Sarasota to work as a Literary Intern at Florida Studio Theatre. I hope to eventually pursue theater in Chicago, New York City, or wherever the art takes me.
